I Own A Physical Store Or Service, How Do Joint Ventures Help me? I speak with business owners who are getting online for the first time on daily basis. I usually start out by helping them set goals for there websites and how to expand there business to a larger market. This usually leads to discussion of Joint Ventures. Why they ask would I want to Joint Venture with someone else? Won't that hurt my business? The answer is a most definite no. By finding other companies to work with you can expand your market while helping them expand theirs. I.E. You own a shop with trendy clothing, so you JV with a skating or ski shop. Now when people go to you for clothing they might run to them for boards or skates, and if the customer is at the skate shop they might run to you for those new trendy jeans or sneakers. The best thing you can do for your business is join local business groups and meet with other entrepreneurs and find ways to work with each other so you can all grow.
